Data Collected  by Shape Up

Shape Up collects personal information when you sign up for an account. That information includes data such as name, gender, age, and weight. We require other personal fitness information, such as height, personal habits, meal details and program progress, and anything you choose to track and keep a record off. We collect this information so that we can provide a personalized plan for your successful training results. You can choose not to provide any information that is requested. However, this may limit your ability to use the service. We also require your email address during the sign-up. So that we can keep you updated regarding the news, notifications, new product, or any other thing about Shape Up.

When you visit Shapeup.com regarding the service, we may send one or more cookies. Internal Storage Access by Shape Up

Shape Up requires approval to access users’ smartphone’s internal storage. So, that user uploads their profile picture to enhance their identity. Users can change profile pictures, edit and remove their profile pictures at their convenience.

Google Fit Access by Shape Up

Shape Up asks for the user’s Google fit access to take precise and accurate measures of the user’s daily fitness progress eg how many steps the user took and how many calories the user burned. But it is totally up to the user whether he wants to allow the access or not.

Usage of OAuth and Scope

We are using OAuth to get the data from Google Fit of the user without really asking for the password, and we are using activity.fitness as a scope to read fitness data from Google Fit. For example, how many steps the user took in a day and how many calories have burned.
